Community Partnerships

Lifetrack’s collaborative partners help us leverage the expertise and resources of the private sector, government agencies, and other non-profit organizations to ensure that our clients receive the individualized services that best meet their current and long-term goals.

We partner with the private sector to move families from poverty to self-sufficiency. We work closely with businesses such as Heavy Metal Truck Training to address barriers to training (such as homelessness); and we develop deep relationships with employers to offer expanded opportunity for our clients through Lifetrack’s hiring services. Lifetrack was recognized last year by the City of Minneapolis as the Employment and Training Outstanding Service Partner for Adults in 2015.

We partner with government agencies, as Minnesota’s designated first point of contact for newborns identified as deaf or hard of hearing, Lifetrack works with the Minnesota Department of Health to provide outreach and support to parents who have a child who is deaf or hard of hearing. With coordination between the state, audiologists, local public health nurses, and other advocacy organizations and medical professionals, we reach nearly 90 percent of families with children who are identified as deaf or hard of hearing.

We partner with other non-profits. Our early childhood education and therapeutic work with at-risk families is strengthened through numerous collaborations, including: the Minnesota Organization for Fetal Alcohol Syndrome; local homeless shelters where many of our families live; and Community Action Partnership of Ramsey and Washington County, which provides Head Start services to our children. Our partnership with Ramsey County Child Protective Services also reaches the most at-risk families in our community.

Lifetrack and the Diaper Bank of Minnesota partner to help more low-income families collect the diapers they need. The Diaper Bank of Minnesota is a volunteer-based organization that was founded in 2010 to help address diaper need—a problem that 1/3 of all Minnesota families face. Lifetrack and the Diaper Bank of Minnesota work together to host and plan diaper drives throughout the year for the families that Lifetrack serves. For more information, visit www.diaperbankmn.org
